Thank you Farmer VanDyk for letting us help estimate your corn yield for this year’s harvest. We found the average ear of corn has 576 seeds on it! Surprise to most of us as our estimates were closer to 100.




Thanks to Grand Valley State University for the Discovery STEM kit we used this week to measure area!
The students played a game with a partner this week. They had to explain a code to draw symbols (numbers, letters, shapes, and functions). Their partner had to interpret the code and draw the symbol. They had a lot of fun figuring out what steps to take.
