I am so excited to join the team at Brown Elementary!  Byron Center Public Schools are impressive, and I’m glad to be part of the future success.

I graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2011.  I spent a couple years researching how science is taught through the program Target Inquiry, and presented my findings to teachers all over the country at the ACS convention in Anaheim, CA.  I was able to apply what I learned when I was hired by Hudsonville Public Schools to teach 6th grade science.  I continued to develop inquiry based learning through the science community at Van Andel Institute, and know this STEM program is a perfect fit.

In my time outside of school, I enjoy being with my family, hiking, reading, and serving at our church
